And there you go.
But wait! There's more!
Over the past year I've done a lot of work on a fanfiction combining the work of a certain spasmodic artist named Vasquez and the odd genius of the webcomic "Zebra Girl." What I've come up with is a meandering tale of knives and madness, which can be viewed in full on the Zebra Girl website.
After my first few eager chapter submissions, something extraordinary happened: The artist and writer of Zebra Girl, Mr. Joe England, decided to reciprocate the effort I had spent on the story, and crafted some truly masterful pictures to go with the narrative. For this I am eternally grateful to him. The drawings accentuate my writing in a way I never thought possible.
Here's the thing, though: the Zebra Girl web traffic is a little...slow. There's maybe two dozen fans at most who frequent the site, dorking around in the forums and checking hopefully for new updates. And I figured, hey, why not give the comic a hand? It's quite an impressive collection of action, adventure and wacky humor, and deserves a look.
So I am featuring the awesome illustrations of Mr. England on my DeviantArt page.
Notes: These pictures were NOT drawn by me. I did NOT create them (I suppose I caused them to be created, which is similar, but technically they are not mine.) Any and all depictions of characters belong to their respective creators--Sandra and her bevy of friends/enemies to Mr. England, and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac to Mr. Vasquez.
I am honored that Joe gave me permission to host these pics on my humble site--it's not like there was much here, and hopefully I can give people a hint of the supernatural goodness that is Zebra Girl.
So there you go.
